Dr Brodie Latimer

In 2012, Dr Brodie started training as a physiotherapist but noticed the increasing demand for Osteopaths. Motivated to broaden his skills, he pursued further study to become an Osteopath.

​As an osteopath, Dr. Brodie Latimer understands the body as a whole unit and enjoys investigating the function of muscles, nerves, and joints across multiple areas to diagnose and treat all conditions. Dr. Latimer is passionate about restoring function through movement and has a keen interest in sports rehabilitation.

Dedicated to exploring and implementing the best evidence-based methods for optimal patient outcomes, Dr. Latimer employs osteopathic techniques, complemented by dry needling, myofascial cupping, and advanced joint mobilization and manipulation, to effectively manage acute and chronic pain.

Our Patient Process

Step 1 - Case History & Assessment

Detailed conversation about your medical history, lifestyle, and current symptoms. This helps us understand any underlying issues or contributing factors to your pain or condition.

Step 2 - Examination

We assess your posture, mobility, and any other areas of pain and discomfort. You may be asked to perform simple movements to evaluate how your body is functioning. This may include special orthopaedic tests to assist the practitioner formulate a diagnosis.

Step 3 - Diagnosis

Based on the discussion and examination, the osteopath will diagnose the problem and explain the underlying cause of your symptoms as clearly as possible. It helps create a treatment plan that addresses both symptoms and root causes.

Step 4 - Treatment

We use a combination of techniques, including soft tissue massage, joint manipulation and mobilisation, and stretching. Additional modalities we incorporate are dry needling, myofascial cupping, Low Level Laser (LLL) therapy, shockwave therapy, and sports taping.

Step 5 - Advice & Management

We ensure you leave the consultation understanding the diagnosis and have a clear plan as to the exercises you are required to follow and make time for, as well as lifestyle changes to help manage your condition and prevent recurrence.

Step 6 - Follow-Up

This is to monitor progress and adjust treatment and management if required. This is most important if your condition is acute. Your osteopath will help you understand this.
